I know you are right. I guess I haven’t given up completely because I always have something out there. I have two full requests being considered at the moment, one with an agent and the other directly with an editor. Actually I have another requested full with another agent but it has been over a year so I guess I should give up on that one. Oh, and another full but that is over a year as well but I think the agent has disappeared. The blog is writing though and I comfort myself with that.

It was basically all up to me and it’s almost impossible to do both the writing and marketing while working fulltime. If you don’t work outside the home, I can see that you could dedicate yourself to it and maybe you could make a small success of it. There are so few who do well out of e-publishing but, of course, we hear about those who do and tend to think it is the norm, whereas it is very much the exception. This could change with time but I haven’t seen it happen yet despite everyone’s high hopes for it as a viable alternative to becoming print published.
