You’re one of their first influences and they’ll show your books to their grandchildren and say ‘my teacher wrote this…’ I tried teaching kids for a few months when my youngest kid started school Cherie, but I realized that it wasn’t for me. I was fine with my own four, but if it came to a job, looking after little ones is so consuming that I decided that I’d need something completely different. A change of scene is very important and I have kids around me almost 24/7. They’re at school as I write, of course….
